Hello Megan,
I’m delighted to hear that you and your daughters are planning to visit the Champagne region!
Firstly, do you already have accommodation sorted? If not, my apartment, Terrasse 86, might be an ideal fit for your small group.
Regarding your cycling plans, I would advise against cycling from Épernay to Reims. The route can be quite dangerous and it's relatively long.
Instead, I recommend checking the last paragraph of my article for guided tour options. Alternatively, consider shorter cycling routes. You can start from Épernay and head towards charming villages like Hautvillers and Ay-Champagne, or begin in Reims and explore the vineyards and surrounding villages.
I hope you will have a fantastic time exploring the beautiful Champagne region!

My 2 daughters and I are wishing to cycle through the Champayne region. Reading your site. What would the best plan be .
We have 4 days in the region My oldest daughter lives in London and We are from New Zealand and looking to visit the local villages and visit some Champayne houses.

We thought that we would cycle from Epernay to Riems.
But would love some recommendations, to be self guided or tour.

In reply to <a href="https://bnbepernay.com/en/champagne-bike-tour-epernay-routes/#comment-7943">carolina</a>.

Hello Carolina,

Thank you for your message! I understand the confusion, as there are several cycling routes you can take through Champagne, and it's important to choose the one that fits your plans best. My article highlights a few of these bike itineraries, each offering unique experiences depending on whether you want to explore around Reims or Épernay.

For a one-day trip, my advice would be to go with a guided tour, especially if you’re coming from Paris. While I don’t organize tours myself, I recommend the one mentioned in the last paragraph of this article: The Guided Bike Tour: My Champagne Favorite. It's one of the best in the region and they might even be able to pick you up at the station.

The tour includes lunch, a visit to the beautiful village of Hautvillers, detailed explanations about the vineyards, and a winery visit. They’ll also drop you back at the station, so you could even organize to visit another winery in Épernay afterward.

I hope this helps you plan your day in Champagne!

Merci,

Bonjour, I am a little confused as to how to do this in one day. My husband and I would like to ebike through champagne to visit some wineries. What do you suggest? Do you organise tours? We will be coming from Paris and do we arrive Reims or Eperney?

We would need to organise a train trip there.

Is it possible to do in a day.

Merci, Carolina
