- Even Amsterdam (5 hours) and London (6 hours) are manageable for a longer road trip.
- By Train: Travelling by train is simple and efficient:

Epernay’s train station, while small, is designed to meet your travel needs:
- Tickets: Find both automated ticket machines and staffed counters open during the day.

Distance from the Train Station to Avenue de Champagne
One of Epernay’s most famous sights, Avenue de Champagne, is remarkably easy to reach from the train station. As an added bonus, I highly recommend a stroll through the picturesque Parc de la Mairie along the way.

Parking in Epernay: Where to Leave Your Car?
Driving to Epernay? You need to know where you can find a parking spot in Epernay ? Finding a parking spot is easier than you might think. As of right now, Epernay is undergoing some exciting changes, so keep in mind that things are in flux. However, here’s the lowdown on parking:
Parking in Epernay City Center
If you’re planning on driving in Epernay’s city center, be prepared to find mostly paid parking options. However, if you’re looking for free parking in Epernay, head to Parking Raoul Chandon. It’s conveniently located and just a stone’s throw from my gîtes!
Parking on Avenue de Champagne
Parking can be a bit trickier on the famous Avenue de Champagne. Street parking is limited, although you might get lucky finding a spot towards the eastern end of the avenue, closer to Champagne Mercier. The good news is that most champagne houses provide free parking for visitors who are stopping by for a tasting or tour.
Note: A new underground parking garage is planned for the city center and expected to open by the end of 2025. I’ll be sure to update this information when it’s available!
